Dutch sink the Elephants back to the Coast, Serbia hit by Argentina Stampede

1. Argentina 6 : 0 Serbia (16,June)

Argentina have sent the message across Germany.Sublime one touch passing, deft touches, backheelers; the Serbs didnt have a clue ! 6 great team goals! and argentines found themselves top of group C and in the knockout stages.

# Everyone was talking abt how Brazil have got great goal-scorers in their squad well, Argentina are not far behind, their charismatic playmaker Rodriguez scored twice in the first half to give his team a 3-0 lead at HT.

2. Netherland 2 : 1 Ivory Coast (17,June)

The Dutch had to fight it out hard right till the end to earn their place in the last 16. They along with England are the two teams who havent played even half as good but still find themselves through with one game to play. But they know they will surely have to improve if they are to get past the big teams.
The good thing dutch can take from the game is the two first half goals.
First the Arsenal youngster van Persie scored off an unstoppable free-kick. Then the Red devil's goal machine Ruud van Nistlerooy showed why he has been the one of the most dangerous hitman in europe for past years with a clinical finish to put the dutch two goals ahead.

Ivory Coast, well what can you about them, you really bad for them.They lost both their matches in a similar fashion with a similar scoreline.
They matched Argentina in their first match and probably outplayed the dutch for most of the match yesterday. But they just couldn find the back of the net in both the matches. In fact most of the second half was played in the dutch half. The kind of pressure is the dying minutes can easily be estimated by the fact that there were 3 corners and 2 free-kicks for Ivory Coast in the 3 minuites of stoppage time !!

But you really feel if they would have been in anyother group they would still have been in this world cup. But now they have only their pride to play for against Serbia in their last match. While the dutch and argentines will batlle it out for the top spot in their last group stage match.
