Verdict : Fair result
Key Moments :
a. Philip Lahm , the right footed leftback , opening the scores with right footed curler , right in the 6th minute , set the tone for the match
b. Wanchope equalising in the 12th minute.
c. 86th minute scorcher by Frings. Could very well be among the Goals of the tournament.
Key Players :
a. Schnieder : held the German midfield together and filled in as a Captain for the injured Michael Ballack
b. Klose : scored two vital goals on his 28th birthday !
c. Wanchope : kept surprising everyone and never let the germans relax.

Question : What is it with Klose???? He is just another good striker in bundesliga, but comes out of the hibernation each world cup and surprises everyone , scored 5 goals in 2002 , including a hatrick in the first match against Saudi Arabia , and scored two again yesterday !! Taking his tally to 7 World cup Goals .

Verdict : Ecuador played well , but Poland were unlucky !

b. 2nd Goal by Delgado in 80th , Kaviedas was clearly offside initially before he passed the ball for Delgado who tapped it in.
c. Poland hit woodwork twice in last 5 minutes !!
